Definitely…
Although Ireland may not see as much sun as other parts of Europe, PV panels work from irradiance rather than direct sunlight. So even in Ireland, solar PV can be a really great way to make savings on electricity and reducing your carbon footprint. With the right system design, you can expect up to 75% savings on your home energy costs.
They’re free in the long term…
Depending on what’s included (the number of panels, battery or hot water diverter included), our solar domestic systems (after the grant is applied) cost between €5,500 to €10,500 on average….. but with the savings you make, the system pays for itself within 4 to 6 years.
Easy-peasy…
If you’re getting your solar installation completed with us, we will hold your hand through the entire process. With our dedicated grant guide, it only takes 5 minutes to complete your online application, and you typically get your grant approval within hours. Once it approved, Solar Path take care of everything else.
Without a doubt…
Batteries are a great way of making additional savings, although it depends on the available space in the house and your budget. Adding a battery to a standard domestic system could cost an additional €2,250, but the extra savings mean that it pays for itself in 3 to 4 years.
If budget doesn’t allow for a battery now, we would always recommend you make provision to add a battery at a later stage but installing a hybrid (battery ready) inverter.
Quick and easy…
Most installations are completed within 2 days, with the minimum of disruption. Solar PV is one of the easiest and least invasive energy upgrade you can do to you home or business.
